Surveillance camera shows two thieves broke into Mount Carmel Credit Union
Benque Viejo police are reviewing video tapes taken from a surveillance camera installed near the Mount Carmel Credit Union that may be able to determine the thieves who broke into the institution over the holiday weekend. The tapes, we have learned, show more than one person entering the premises. The thieves broke the padlock on the back door of the building, cut the burglar bar door and broke a glass door. Credit union employees are not certain whether the burglary was an inside job because it appeared the thieves ransacked the place looking for money before they discovered the forty thousand plus dollars and a point thirty eight revolver that they stole. Employees discovered that the place was broken into on Tuesday when they reported back to work.
Here we go again with these Benque Thieves. First, the employees almost bankrupted this tiny Credit Union, now they still want to take the money by force. I say we publicly FLOG them to teach these thieves a lesson.
J Guerra, the possibility exists that the thieves are from across the border….
I concur with flogging thieves and repayment even if it takes 10 years.
We need to start making people responsible for their acts against society or Belize
is doomed.
I am a Belizean and let me tell you Belize will soon be on the least likely places to visit for tourism. If tourism goes to the scums of the earth then what .
Can we have a news story follow up, “Surveillance tape caught 3 thieves getting their limbs broken with baseball bat.” Thieves are just as useless as murderers.
