Well-known Belizean personality, Carrie Fairweather-Belgrave passes away
Renowned Belizean personality Carrie Fairweather-Belgrave lost her battle with pancreatic cancer on Thursday evening. Fairweather, better known for her role as Gran Tomasa in ‘Noh Matta Wat,’ struggled for several months after being diagnosed with the terminal illness. On December second last year her lifework in literature was presented at the Bliss Center for the Performing Arts. The fifty-three page publication was accompanied by a documentary that also provides a glimpse into her life. Even though she wasn’t doing well, special arrangements were made for Fairweather to attend her book launch.
She will be missed by us all………………Thank God for sending her to us.

Aunt Carrie we are missing you already…..Even though we are saddened by your passing, I know there is a big celebration going on with your entrance to the other side….The Creator and all our relatives who left before you, awaits your coming and I know you are more happier than words can describe….The hurt and emptiness are left with those of us who are still alive and mourning your loss…but with time, support from family and good, true friends, we will get through this.
