Another charge against Ernest Raymond Jr. falls apart in Court

Earlier we told you that the third case of Money Laundering brought the Financial Intelligence Unit did not succeed in court before Senior Magistrate Sharon Frazer. In a related case, also before Frazer, thirty-four year old Ernest Raymond Jr. who was initially charged in February 2009 along with the Coye family for money laundering was acquitted of Concealing Documents because of a lack of evidence. The senior magistrate concluded that the prosecution failed to prove that Raymond withheld documents that were likely to be relevant to the money laundering investigation involving the Coyes. During the trial the Financial Intelligence Unit called upon Sergeant Bernard Reyes to take the stand but his testimony was not sufficient to establish that the documents found inside a white Ford Escort registered to Melanie Coye, belonged to Ernest Raymond Jr. Frazer also noted that during the hearing the exhibits were labeled in Raymond’s absence, which she said was contrary to procedure. Following Raymond’s acquittal News Five caught up with his attorney Richard ‘Dickie’ Bradley.

“I want to be fair to the prosecution…money laundering is new. Not the regular type of prosecution. In this case in January …Ernest was in Lord’s Bank area Belize district and there was a vehicle not parked far from him. When they saw him they stopped their mobile and accosted him. The engine was running…they claimed he said yes. He was charged with the firearm in that vehicle, then money laundering later on, he went to prison, the owner of the vehicle is a special constable, he was charged with money laundering and withdrawn, then concealing documents relevant to a money laundering investigation. The evidence was insufficient in 2 major respects and senior magistrate, is going to be chief magistrate shortly. She did her own research and her decision … not satisfied that Ernest Raymond knew he was in possession of documents or documents relevant to an investigation.”
On February fifth, 2009 Ernest Raymond Jr. was jointly charged with Melanie Coye, her boyfriend James Gerou, her brother Jude and parents Marlene and Michael Coye for the laundering of over one and a half million dollars through a local branch of MoneyGram.

Prosecution for money laundering is new, corruption in the courts is not. We knew this was coming & tomorrow another mother will lose her child because the atmosphere of corruption & greed has infected every part of our society & left us without a bloody soul.

Sharon Frazer apparently don’t know how to interpret the laws.Did this lady go to law school?Something is questionable about how you do business Sharon.I guess you need some classes from Dickie.
