Brother of accused murderer joins him in prison on attempted murder charge

Shakeem Humes

An eighteen year old has been arrested and charged for shooting another teenager over the past weekend. The victim, nineteen year old Clement Bol Junior initially told police that it was Akeem Humes who pulled the trigger on him on Saturday night. But it turns out that Akeem has been in prison on a Murder charge all along and it is actually his younger brother, Shakeem, who is suspected of the shooting. It is said to be a case of mistaken identity because the siblings resemble each other. So today Shakeem appeared in the Magistrates Court to hear charges of Attempted Murder, Wounding and Use of Deadly Means of Harm upon Bol.

No plea was taken when and bail could not be granted because it is a firearm offence. Shakeem now joins his brother at the Belize Central Prison and is to return to court on March fourth. Bol says he was walking on Berkeley Street when his assailant fired four shots in his direction and fled. On bullet hit Bol in the left leg and police recovered three point forty-five expended shells from the scene.

Meanwhile, Akeem has been behind bars since September twenty-seventh, 2010 for the murder of Jason Michael Flores who was gunned down on Kraal Road on December ninth, 2009.

Life is lonely on the outside when one brother is not around to help another brother terrorize his neighborhood. Lock his @$$ up & throw away the keys.

  3. CEO says:

So Mr Brains (comment #1) there is a victim who saw the shooter and there are expended shells at the seen and this is not enough evidence? Then again you could be right because guys who commit serious crimes usually walk, but if he grabbed a gold chain he would get 10 years.

yes mr brains replying, not saying der was not a crime committed i was not there but all i am saying the victim screwed his own case buy calling the wrong name, his lawyer will have a easy case to win in court. why lock up some one if u not sure who shot u

  6. Fed Up says:

    And so????……….

how did we come to the conclusion he should be locked up??
was he found with the gun?? bullets?? at the seen?
another waste of time.. he will get trickey dickey and walk out soon..

  7. daveyt says:

OK, his lawyer will claim it’s a case of mistaken identity, his brothers name was called out at first, instead of his.

He’ll no doubt walk free, and more than likely, so will his brother.

Trouble is, even if the victim reported that he saw Shakeem him do the shooting, but thought it was his brother, Shakeem shouldn’t be freed, as he looks similar to his brother, and his brother couldn’t have done the shooting as he was locked up in jail!!! It doesn’t take much thinking to realise that, and common sense should prevail. Both should be locked up, and the key thrown away, but both will be free in a matter of weeks, or days if Trickey Dickey Bradley gets a phone call from their Ma!
