No arrests yet in grenade murder
In the aftermath of Sunday’s unprecedented grenade attack, tonight one man has been detained for questioning but up to news time police had yet to make an arrest. According to investigators, the detainee is the third such person to be interviewed but the primary suspect is still at large. Just before ten on Sunday night, a man on bicycle threw a hand grenade into a crowd of people who were standing on Mayflower Street. A dozen people were injured in the ambush and had to be rushed to the K.H.M.H. for treatment. The most critically wounded patient, sixteen year old Darren Trapp, succumbed to his wounds around one on Monday morning. According to medical officials, four men remain hospitalised: Teddy Reyes, Darrel Myvette, Kendis Flowers and Jamaal Neal. Up to news time, they were all listed in stable condition.
