Woman who stabbed neighbor because of flash drive, finally charged

Sasha Lopez

A Belize City woman, who has been in police custody for the past four days, was arraigned today for allegedly stabbing her neighbor. The police reports and charge sheet have the name of the accused woman as Stasha Lopez, which was taken from her Social Security Card. She says, however, that her name is Sasha, as shown on her birth certificate and that there is an error on her ID. Nonetheless, the twenty-six year old was charged with Dangerous Harm before Magistrate Sharon Frazer and Prosecutor Sergeant Carol Tucker objected to bail. The objection was on the grounds that the victim, twenty-three year old Elizabeth Martinez, has been discharged from the hospital and Lopez may interfere with her. Lopez was granted bail of six thousand dollars on the condition that she stays away from Martinez. Her case was adjourned until April eighteenth. Martinez and Lopez, both of Aloe Vera Street, are said to be long time rivals and last Thursday, they got into an argument, allegedly over a missing flashdrive. The altercation happened in front of Martinez’ home at around four p.m. and eyewitnesses says Martinez threw a padlock at Lopez, who in turn stabbed her once near the heart. Martinez ran across the street to her home, where she collapsed and was then rushed to the K.H.M.H.

We have a whole generation of Belizeans with no sense of family values. Who should we blame for this?

Someone was almost killed over a flash drive. Has the value of life deminished so low in Belize. This country need God’s help badly. The ministers from every church need to get together and hold a prayer vigil for the country. Only God can bring the much needed change, certainly the government and the police is not capable of doing it. The ferven prayer of the righteous availeth much. Please ministers and Pastors coordinate a day of prayer where every church in the country pray the word of God over the country. Go to the Psalms and pull versed for help and protection and change from the Pslams and invoke the power of God to move in anyway necessary to change things. In the book of Jeremiah 33:3 God said,” Call on me and I will answer .” Try God and see, what do you have to loose, but the reduction of evil and gain peace of mind and safety.

Al…………I’m with you………..as YOU CAN SEE………THE CHURCHES HAVE FAILED US.

THEY ARE NOT DOING THE WORK THAT JESUS THE CHRIST CAME TO SHOW THEM.

THEY (The Churches) ARE NOT TRYING TO SAVE SOULS…………ONLY THEMSELVES………
they will have to “answer” for their LACK OF ACTION.

People are so cold, callous and petty with absolutely NO regard for human life in Belize. The judiciary is a big effing joke, the politicians are some of the most corrupt bastards in the world and nobody seems to give a $h!t about anything until they’re personally affected. “Tranquil haven of democracy” my A$$!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It’s always a good idea to know the situation before commenting and passing judgement on people we don’t know. The lesson here is to report matters to the police (even if we don’t have confidence that they will do anything) so that situations like these do not put us in trouble. None of us know what really happened, the flash drive may be one of many incidences leading to the attack so why pass judgement on Stasha???? Do any of you know her? Do you know if she works? NOOOOOOOoo but are quick to assume she is involved in drugs.

I happen to know who Stasha is and she had to have been REALLY provoked for that to happen, she is a very quiet person who keeps to herself, she’s not from Bze city so I’m sure the other female wanted to take advantage of that. Why didn’t she report the flash drive incident to the police instead of throwing a padlock at someone?…people go looking for problems!!! I’m in now way condoning anything that happened her and believe they BOTH should be charged accordingly.
