Fisherman caught jewelry and the Court hooked him with prison time

A Belize City fisherman broke into a jewelry store and only got away with twenty dollars. It’s a small loot, but it was enough to land twenty-six year old Marlon Young in jail for five years. The Barrack Road resident entered C-Medina’s Jeweler Souvenirs at the Commercial Center on February eleventh after the owner, seventy-six year old Carlos Medina, had closed for the day. Two eyewitnesses, Maintenance Worker, Sheldon Morris and Police Constable Alfonso Cano, saw Young leaving the store and alerted cops on foot patrol in the area. He was caught and admitted to police in a caution statement that he pried open a metal door to gain entry to the store. Young was charged for the Burglary this morning before Magistrate Emerson Banner. He pleaded guilty and was sentenced to five years because he has three previous convictions for Burglary and one for Theft.
