High School Principal acquitted of aggravated assault charge

The principal of Belmopan Comprehensive School, Denroy Tillett, was acquitted today of Aggravated Assault of an Indecent Nature upon a school warden. Legal Aid Attorney, Phillip Palacio, made a no case submission, when the prosecutor’s two main witnesses did not show up to testify. The submission was upheld by Magistrate Adolph Lucas Junior because there was no other evidence against Tillett. The school warden had claimed that was standing at the door to Bursar’s office when she felt someone touch her inappropriately. She says that when she turned around, she saw Tillett standing nearby, but never saw him touch her. But Palacio argued that Tillett was holiday when the alleged incident occurred in November, 2010. The prosecution could not prove otherwise and that also contributed to the acquittal.
I knew it Mr Tillett. I knew that the accusations against you were false. The accusations were out of character and I did not believe them from the time the story broke.

Can we do a thorough investigation on the front end so that we can stop clogging the courts with BS cases. This was a total waste of time & resources. Good job, Philip.
I’m real happy that Mr Tillett was vindicated.Crab in a bucket syndrome as usual.Always trying to bring down the ones that are making a difference. She knows fully well why she didn’t show up in court. They now need to prosecute her for wrongfully accusing this man and almost ruining his good name.
@ Corf…you have a point. Wrongfull accusation charges. She wasted the court’s time and resources. She should pay. It will also stop all these False claims from being made….A fine is necessary. Generate some Income for the court system. I’m just saying…lol

i know you well Mr .Tillett and i knew you wouldn’t stoop so low because you worked hard to get where you are to mess up your reputation. but people like that pays for what they do some way or the other. keep your head up high and look forward to the future. nuff love
this is not the first time mr tillet is in media eyes he was there for domestic violence an burglary an for that along he should have never be give the post principal at a high school who need so much help an i wonder how u guys will feel when u here the tape that the young lady has on him where he try to get her to cover it up. this not the first time that he as done this there were a bunch of girls at a night club in belmopan who beat him up for touching one of them but it will only take time for him to do it again but to the wrong person which might just be one of u guys family when he is drinking there is no tell what he will do.
remember acquittal does not mean not guilty
someone would really need to get into the real story an then they would change there mine bout what the news is saying an i bet no one knew that he an the judge are very good friend do ur reseach people before u jump on anyone side
