Student busted with 2.9 grams of cocaine
He was busted last night with of twenty-one parcels of cocaine containing two point nine grams. And this morning nineteen year old Evan Ferguson, who claims he is a fourth form student, was arraigned in the Belize City Magistrate Court for Drug Trafficking. According to police, at about eight o’clock while on patrol on Pickstock Street they spotted a group of young men hanging out at the corner of New Road and Pickstock Streets. When police approached the area, one of the young men, identified as Ferguson, walked away. Police became suspicious and when they conducted a search on him, the found the cocaine in his underwear. He was arrested and escorted to the Queen Street Police Station. Ferguson pleaded not guilty to drug trafficking and was offered bail in the sum of five thousand dollars.
