It’s here once again! Sittee River Easter Monday Fair on April 25th.Bring out the family and enjoy a day of fun…activities for this event includes; a football Marathon, Domino competitions, a beer drinking and a watermelon eating contests and the very popular canoe race for amateur and professional paddlers. For the kids, don’t worry you’re not forgotten, there will be enough games and prizes to keep you entertained! Music will be provided by DJ Darren and Sound Supreme; there will also live performance by two popular Punta rock artists…Con-sign and Ta-pric. And to top it all off the famous duo, Patrick and Ava will be doing their thing! Plenty of food and drinks will be on sale. So remember, on April the 25th at 9am, Sittee River will is the place to be!…………………….

The general public is invited to the E P Yorke high school reunion’s candle light memorial service on Wednesday April 13th at the St. John’s Cathedral at 6pm. It’s a tribute to family, friend, educators and student who lost their lives abruptly due to the escalating violence situation in Belize. If you’ve lost a loved one to crime, please be a part of this special event. Let’s keep their memories alive bring a white or green candle. The Belize National Library and Information System (BNLSIS) will be hosting its’ 10th Annual Book Fair on April 13th, 2011 at the Leo Bradley Library from 9a.m. to 3p.m.  The theme for this year is “Books is: empowering our nation, one page at a time”. There will be story writing & story reading competitions for primary school students and a poster competition for high school students.  There will be publishers showcasing their books, plenty of games, prizes and surprises.  This day will also be book amnesty day for all libraries, for patrons to return overdue books and be forgiven. The general public is invited to join in the celebration of books and reading……………………………

How good are you at finding treasures? Well if you want to expose you’re inner Jack Sparrow, the Rotaract Club of Belmopan will be having a treasure hunt this Saturday a 9am. Test your brain power and you could walk away with $500 to add towards your Easter getaway. The hunt starts at the GG field and it $25 to enter the competition; teams should have a minimum of 1 and a maximum of 4 members. Clues will be hidden within the Belmopan limit, figure out the clues, find the treasure, and take it home the prize. If you find the treasure first, within 1 hour you receive $500….within 2 hours $250 and within 6 hours $ 100, only first place counts. If you have a passion for fashion, the New Hope high school in Orange Walk presents to you…  A Fashion Show Extravaganza this Saturday at the multipurpose complex center. Entrance fee is $7.00 and it stars at 7pm…………………………

On Saturday, April 16th hop on the boat and head over to club Driftwood in Caye Caulker for the full moon party. What’s your flavor? Latin, Local, Hip Hop, or reggae…they’ve got something for you!
