3 men charged for attempted murder of cop

Police also have the three suspects for the brazen attack on Police constable Nigel White, who was ambushed, shot and robbed of his point thirty-eight service revolver. White was the sole officer stationed at the Belama Police Sub-station when he was overpowered by the three men at around twenty minutes after twelve on the morning of March twenty-seventh. Twenty-four year old Karim Morris and thirty-two year old Elroy Smith were the first to be picked up late last week and they led police to a mangrove area near the river in Belama Phase Three, where the weapon and four live rounds of ammunition were recovered.

Linsford ACOSTA

Morris and Smith, both residents of Belama Phase four, were jointly charged for Kept Firearm without a Gun Licenses and Kept Ammunition without a Gun Licenses. A third suspect, twenty-four year old Linsford Acosta, has also been arrested and today all three men were arraigned for Attempted Murder, Dangerous Harm, Use of Deadly Means of Harm and Robbery. No plea was taken and the trio has been remanded to the Central Prison until May twelfth when they return to court.

  1. Belama Resident says:

$50 million for BTL, $2.8 million for exwife and $0000.000 for Belama Police Station.

  2. Dave Welch says:

It’s just reality in Belize if you’re somehow linked to some type of goverment agency and you’re either killed or attacked by criminals the law enforcement will do whatever it takes to investigate and punish the criminals. Unfortunately when someone who’s just a normal citizen gets killed or hurt by blood sucker’s and murderers the law system immediately becomes useless and that’s shameful for the country. In the month of April there was 4 people murdered in one night and the useless law enforcement still haven’t made any arrests and that’s just a clear message that Belize will eventually become an island that will lose tourism because everybody knows that the caribbean island is no longer a safe place to visit.
