Fake Cop loses case in which he became his own attorney

Aaron Wilson

In the Magistrates Court, the man who allegedly posed as a police officer for six months, twenty-one year old Aaron Wilson, has been just as convincing representing himself in court for the past two weeks. The alleged fake cop has managed to beat two out of four charges that are being heard at the Magistrates Court, but his streak ended today when he was found guilty of Theft and Aggravated Assault of an Indecent Nature. The victim testified that on July fifteenth, 2010 she was walking on Newtown Barracks when Wilson, dressed in a police officer uniform, offered a ride. But the nineteen year old claims that while driving her home, Wilson touched her inappropriately and after she exited the vehicle, she realized that her phone was missing. In his defense, Wilson admitted to picking up the woman, but denied that he assaulted or stole from her. Chief Magistrate Margaret Gabb McKenzie, in delivering her ruling, explained that while the evidence against Wilson was circumstantial, she believed the victim’s story because the woman didn’t stand to gain anything from lying about such an incident. Wilson was fined a total of two thousand, two hundred dollars which he must pay by May nineteenth or face two and a half years in prison. He told our court reporter that he intends to appeal the decision because he believes there was no evidence to convict him.

Wilson has beaten charges of Aggravated Assault with a Firearm and Threatening Words upon Jeremy Galvez and Malcolm Vasquez respectively. On June seventeenth, a preliminary inquiry will begin for charges of Forgery, Possession of a False Document and Unlawful Possession of Belize Police Department Accoutrements.

Ladies and gentlemen of the jury…This is the guy who infiltrated the police dept of Belize undetected by the “brilliant minds” in the echelons of the force and the ministry of national security. This same guy is single-handedly making a mockery of the entire judicial system of Belize, Central America and the media is giving him all the attention he craves. WoW….. might as well give him a grammy for the award winning performances!

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

FOOL, you reap what you sow. 2 1/2 years? When I see jail sentences I keep thinking about the poor drunk gringo who stole 3 beers and couldn’t pay the fine so now he gets 3 years in Prison. Maybe he had a history, I do not know, but how does a guy like this only get 2.5 years? 6 months he did this. Dressing up like a policeman. Threatening people. This type of behavior is borderline psychotic. Who knows how far he would have gone if not stopped? He deserves at least 5 years.
