Governor General to attend Royal Wedding of Prince William and Kate

There is other news from Belmopan; it involves the head of state, the Governor General Sir Colville Young. News Five has learnt that the G.G. and Lady Young have accepted an invitation to the royal wedding of Prince William to Kate Middleton. The G.G. will be among other heads of state of the Commonwealth who made it on Buckingham Palace’s guest list to the April twenty-ninth wedding in London. The P.M., we are told was also invited, but there is no confirmation that he will attend.

More than a quarter of the world’s population will turn up for the wedding, it will be big.
Although I have no interest in watching this or any royal weddings in the future, it would still be nice to have Belize Governor General attend the wedding.

Please dress in proper attire for the wedding.

Why does the world still put up with this royalty bs!? They are just a bunch of rich people who victimized and stole from their colonies, yet people praise them… Sad.

  3. MyLegacyB4MyPeople says:

Could it be that Barrow is upset and might not attend the wedding because the protocol used was to have his invitation delivered through the Governor General or maybe Miss Barrow Simplis was not invited we all know he craves this type of attention. Remember, My Legacy B 4 My People.

  4. belizeanpride says:

  6. CEO says:

Bz I agree with you 100%! They really did nothing for us. When they make all this big to-do over little grants they give us really it is our stuff that they looted and plundered that they are give back a small fraction.

Any of you guys are old enough to remember when we use to get orange juice from England in tin? Now ain’t this a bunch of BS! We grew the oranges for crying out loud they do not! Our forests were strip-cutted and no replanting. Remember when all our mahogony, rosewood and other hardwoods use to be logged, then floated down the river and loaded on to ships and hauled away to England? What’s wrong with this picture? They did nothing to help us grow as a nation. If they found the oil we just did I am sure they would not have left as easily as they did. We would have had a revolution then like how Belizeans are docile we would have roled over and let them have that too.

Every bad situation has at least one good thing, and because I like to be a fair person there is one good leagcy from her Brits, that is the system of government they left in place. We do not have the constant turmoil from revolutions like our neighbors. We respect the ballot box.

  7. The People Had Enough says:

The upper echelons of the Illuminati gets married or do something…they can smile at some poor bastard on the street and the tabloids and all the sheeple go haywire…how goddamn sad the human race is to still get excited about some dumb wedding by the same people who have them living in utter poverty and destitute. This people can rot on t.v. and it wouldn’t make me flinch.

  8. Wake Up Belize says:

Hey to all my Belizeans people out there.

I’m a monarchist and an imperialist. Throughout my entire career I have profited by embracing both our Caribbean and British heritage. The combination in the right hands could be amazing.

As a successful, international businessman, I know we would have been really screwed had we been colonised by the Spanish: look at all the civil wars and unstable governments in Latin America.

We would have been worse off had we been colonised by the Portuguese: Their economy is one of the worse in Europe right now and look, Brazil, after well over a century of independence has finally figured out democracy and capitalism are the only route to sucess….

Oh and even worse, we could have been colonised by the French, God forbid: Just look and Haiti in our own region. The poorest of the poor. Almost the poorest country in the world. None of the French colonies have figured out what democracy means.

Why not focus on some positive when it comes to British establishment and colonisation of Belize and greater caribbean?

ALL Commonwealth Caribbean countries are democratic…compared to all the other colonisers, the English speaking colonies have turned out to be the best…including the US, Australia and Canada.

Yes, yes, yes, “the white” colonies got all the money, but at least we all got education and democracy. Try to make a profitable living with it as I have and many others have.

People pay me huge sums to teach them English…aka…my slave language. I capitalize!

Congrats to Will and Kate and I hope they reach out to the commonwealth to help more of us from the commonwealth develop into successful global citizens.

By the way, I also lived in Latin America…they didn’t get anything from Spain.

Emancipate your minds, (that coming from an imperialist) from the past and use your amazing education to prosper as global citizens.

Ok. Now I’m ready for you to all strike back at me. I can handle it 🙂
