Taxi driver found dead

The body of an elderly cab driver was found this morning at his home on Central American Boulevard. The sixty-eight year old was last seen on Sunday. Randall Bradley was found dead by his son who had gone to give him a haircut at about nine o’clock this morning. The discovery caused quite a stir in the area as police processed the scene and it was originally believed that Bradley was a victim of murder. While that has not been ruled out, it is a theory that is inconclusive. News Five’s Isani Cayetano has a report.

A fetid odor emanating from this pink bungalow on Central American Boulevard this morning piqued the curiosity of passersby as well as residents in the immediate vicinity. While they were not sure what the strange smell was neighbors of sixty-eight year old Randall Bradley found it a bit strange that they had not seen him over the past two days. Shortly after nine o’clock Bradley’s son, Rodwell Tasher, decided to stop in and make sure that everything was ok with the elderly cabdriver. Instead, what he found inside the building was the source of the foul stench.

“Well Sunday ih send somebody fi hail me fi mek I gih ahn wahn haircut so I decide fi come gih ahn di haircut todeh. Dah when this morning I open di door and find ahn decomposed, you understand.”

“I understand that you guys weren’t living together nor did he raise you per se. Can you describe to us what type of person he was in his elderly days?

“He noh raise me but anything I want I could get from my old man. [He] deal wid me loving. Ih always help me and assist me that’s why ih give me wahh key fi ih house fi mek I watch ova ahn cause I dah di only one deh ya fi ahn.”
Bradley, who was stationed at the Cinderella Plaza Taxi Stand, was discovered in a sitting position inside his house with what appeared to be an injury to the face and right arm. Scenes of crime technicians who responded to the residence thought, at first, that he may have been the victim of foul play. Tasher also initially believed that his father may have been murdered.

“Ih mih rough, bad situation fi sih yo ol’ man eena dehn situation deh. I cyant even really describe it to yoh ‘cause ih really rough. That’s all I have to say right now ‘bout my ol’ man. I know dehn chance ahn outta ih life that da weh I could tell yoh.”

“Did you observe any kind of injuries or wounds on his body?”

“Well, well fuss thing I sih ih head swell up and ih di bleed from ih head and ih mouth and ting. I noh know if da wah lick ih get or something.”
Parked on the edge of the street near the front of his house was Bradley’s vehicle. Its hood severely damaged during a fender-bender sometime last week.

“Last time I sih ahn da Sunday and Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday I pass. Monday and Tuesday I sih ih car park straight da di same spot. Da just Wednesday morning when I come I find ahn decomposed.”
So badly decomposed that a coroner had to be summoned to the premises to conduct a post mortem examination onsite. The result of the autopsy later proved to be inconclusive; however, it was said that he may have died of heart failure. Reporting for News Five, I am Isani Cayetano.
Bradley was buried immediately following the post mortem examination. Aside from his son, Rodwell, the only other known relative in Belize is his sibling.
I”m really sick and tired of the way they conduct autopsies in Belize, people are murdered and get away with it because Mario is just too old to do a good job.
Why was this man bleeding if he died of a heart failure, and why were there injuries to the face and right arm of the man?
Was he robbed, enemies? Taxi drivers are targets for robbery and murder in Belize, (see news history).

Hand is bloody, head is bloody & swollen & he is found sitting in his chair. I am neither a doctor or a Policeman & I am even willing to believe this man had a heart attack but is it possible that an assault triggered it?
I believe Mario Estrada is a fake @ Pathologist even a Home health Aid can do a better job than this man.
Could it be that he succumbed to injuries sustained in the fender bender the week before??? Just asking. However, the condition of the body with the bruises and all, warrants a thorough investigating. As for Estradabran, what bad horror film did this psycopathic sadist come from and what’s his career history? I cannot grasp how these people come to Belize and get prominent jobs without a thorough check of their past and background. It’s disgusting!!!
Like Earl says justice will be done, leave it to God, if he was indeed hurt the person who did expects to have old age someday…your Dad will be watching from up there in the resting place assigned by our Father.
I don’t believe that he died from an assault. he probably took a hard hit from the accident that he had days prior and it finally took effect on the day he died. He probably had a heart attack…R.I.P Mr Bradley.He was an old neighbor of mine many years ago.

This is the reason we dont grow and progress as a nation because of prevalent ignorance of people who without taking the time out to think are eager to judge and put down the very persons who have given so much service to this country but its understood that that ignorance level is so high that there’s a picture posted on this report of Dr. Sanchez and myself who were the two Doctors conducting the postmortem on the scene and yet people are blaming Dr. Mario estradabran with out being present. it is evident that ignorance is a very hard issue to deal with when in itself it is the major obstacle to overcome to be able to progress as persons and as a nation i must say that Dr. Mario Estradabran is a very competent professional with over 25 years experience and service to belize so a little bit more respect please.
