Esso Superstation robbed
Gas stations continue to be a source of quick cash for thieves. The latest target is the Esso Superstation in the Pound Yard Bridge area of Belize City. On Sunday at two p.m., twenty year old Stephen Teck was on duty along with his coworkers Earl Hamilton and Norise Santos. The three attendants were accosted by two men wearing grey shirts and blue caps. One of the culprits was armed with a handgun which he aimed at Teck while the other robber relieved Hamilton and Santos of their personal possessions and cash that belonged to the Superstation. An unknown quantity of cash was taken from a waist bag, along with six hundred and fifty dollars cash, two cellular phones, and a gold chain. The robbers then walked across the street into Constitution Park and fled the scene.
When are these businesses gonna install high tech monitors and hire professional security marksmen to protect their properties???? WHEN???
Belize all about chance. If the police out, no much crime. Because some corrupt cop done tell everybody when the patrol gonna be. If these stores hire security gonna be the same thing. They just wait till the man go on break or no show up for work. The whole society have to evolve somewhat. Not change Belize, I don’t want see that. But evolve into a better Belize. A safer Belize. Hard to imagine in this day we live in. Things get bad everywhere. The worse it is in the world, the worse it is here. Like it is contagious. Look at the middle east and Africa. One country flare up and then their neighbor flare up. Now the US no know which war to start and which war to finish.
Our gas stations will have to fitted with bullet proof glass & an automated system, as impersonal as it may be, I think it is the only option left because the surveillance cameras appear to be useless. I am sure there were other witnesses out at two in the afternoon, please remind them that they can call in anonymously if they know these thugs.
