Man behind bars for attacking his neighbour and her kids
And a Honduran man living in Belize City is spending his first night behind bars after he allegedly stabbed his neighbor and her two children. Twenty-five year old Alexis Rojas is accused of inflicting the injuries on the family on Saturday September twelfth on Mahogany Street Extension. According to police, they responded to a report of a stabbing incident on Mahogany Street extension in which thirty-three year old Louisa Bardalez and her fourteen year old daughter and thirteen year old son were reportedly attacked at their home. Bardalez said that following a misunderstanding, Rojas pulled out a knife and stabbed them. Bardalez was injured to the upper part of the body and her daughter was stabbed to the rig cage while her son on the left cheek. All three are receiving treatment and this afternoon, Rojas appeared before Magistrate Sharon Frazer where he faced one count of Attempted Murder upon Louisa Bardalez and three counts of Wounding. He was denied bail and is due back in court on October twenty-eighth.
