Two more arrests for largest cocaine bust and drug plane

On November fourteenth, 2010 a team of law enforcement personnel including four police officers and a customs boatman was nabbed near the entrance of San Juan Village. The men, it is suspected, were the masterminds behind the landing of an executive jet, laden with eighty bales of Colombian cocaine, along the Southern Highway in the Bladden Reserve. Since the arrest of the officers; namely, Corporals Vidal Cajun and Nelson Middleton, sergeants Lawrence Humes and Jacinto Roches as well as customs boatman Harold Usher, an investigation was launched to find out more about the airplane, its contents and the pilot.  While the group remains in detention at the Central Prison pending trial further inquiry has led to the apprehension of two other men involved in the incident.  They are thirty-two year old Michael Gentle, a mechanic of Parrot Street in Ladyville and thirty-three year old Ezequiel Tillett also a mechanic of Ranchito Village in the Corozal District.  The men were arrested over the weekend and have jointly been charged with conspiracy to abet a crime.  It is of note that, similar to the five men who were arrested following the discovery of the King Air Beechcraft and its cargo, Gentle and Tillett were not found in its immediate vicinity. The drugs seized were valued at a record one hundred and forty million Belize dollars and was destined for the US. Since the bust, reports say that the beechcraft was stolen from the Honduras military.
