Cop vindicated of Abetment to Murder charge

Manuel Hill

From the classroom to the courts, where a cop got off for Abetment to Murder. PC Manuel Hill, was stationed in Belmopan and has been off the job since March of 2009, when he was charged following the murder of thirty-eight year old Hui Li Chen. The Taiwanese National is believed to have been killed by a hired gun and Hill was accused of recommending ex-cop Kevin “Cowboy” Alvarez as the hit man for the job. A jury of nine unanimously decided to acquit Hill of the charge in the Belmopan Supreme Court today. Throughout the trial, Hill maintained his innocence and the only evidence against him was a caution statement in which he is said to have incriminated himself. Attorney Simeon Sampson argued, however, that the statement was given because Hill was promised immunity. At around nine-thirty on the night of March eighteenth, 2009, Chen was closing Mai’s Ice Cream Parlor on Lover’s Lane in Orange Walk Town when he was attacked by a man wearing a dread cap. Chen struggled with his assailant, but his throat was slashed and he died on the spot. “Cowboy” Alvarez was detained as he fled the scene, but he didn’t go easily. He was armed with two guns and shot indiscriminately at the officers, injuring three of them before he was captured. Alvarez is still remanded at the Belize Central Prison pending trial for murder and three counts of attempted murder.

He made a statement incriminating himself because he was guilty. Evidently he is saying he was promised immunity, why would you need a promise of immunity if you were not guilty. Common sense eludes these people who are selected as jurors. He will pay the ultimate price sooner or later. These freed criminals leave the courts smiling thinking they got away with something. I say enjoy life today because tomorrow is not promised. Cowboy will not go down by himself, he will get his pound of flesh one way or another.

As expected Sampson fed the jurors a line of BS that made perfect sense to them & no one else. Those “bad, bad” policemen set up one of their own & invited a former member of the force to shoot at them after Mr. Chen cut his own throat. Now let’s watch the system be perverted even further by having Sampson sue the Police so that this prick can be reinstated with back pay. After Sampson succeeds in getting this man his job back, I hope they station him in Belmopan or wherever the majority of those jurors came from & they can decide how much safer they feel with this “not guilty” man in their midst.

How is it that Mr Hill was vindicated dispite the fact that he incriminated himself? This $#!% don’t make sense.

  8. Shera says:

we are not judges the only judge is God let him pass his judgement what if he was indeed set up ? Why was the Chinese National not charged ? Have you ever thought why? He is as guilty as the one who committed the murder.
