Two men will face murder charges in Supreme Court
Senior Magistrate Dorothy Flowers has committed twenty year-old Rushane Andrewin and twenty-three year old Troy Dawson to stand trial for murder in the Supreme Court. This morning Flowers ruled that the evidence presented in the preliminary inquiry for the men was sufficient for them to face trial. Andrewin and Dawson are accused in the shooting death of twenty year old Meldrick Flowers of Faber’s Road. Flowers was shot dead on Raccoon Street Extension on the night of May fifth of last year. In addition to the Murder charge, Andrewin and Dawson are also charged with Attempted Murder, Dangerous Harm, and Use of Deadly Means of Harm in respect of fifteen year old Michael Malic, who was wounded in the incident. Andrewin and Dawson’s case will be tried in the April court session.
