Cayo man pleads guilty to incest
A forty year old man from the Cayo District has pleaded guilty to incest. Court testimony revealed that the defendant had engaged in sex with his sixteen year old daughter on at least two occasions between March first and April thirtieth, 2005. The teenager gave birth to a premature baby girl in December of that year. Sentencing in the court of Justice Herbert Lord has been set for February twenty-fifth, when mitigation pleas will be heard. The maximum sentence for incest is seven years in prison.
