Belizean drug dealer, who migrated to U.S. in 1967, was kidnapped
There’s good news and bad news out of Chicago. First to the bad, a Belizean who got mixed up in the drug trade became the victim of a kidnapping and a cruel beating back in 2006. According to an article on the Indiana Post-Tribune website, the case began in the U.S. District Court in Hammond on Monday and Glenford Russell, who left Belize in 1967, told the court that he had been a marijuana handler for another Belizean living in Chicago, but moved to Gary, Indiana after being robbed. But on October tenth, 2006, Russell’s drug stash house was found and he arrived to find armed men waiting for him. Russell testified in court that the men demanded drugs and money and forced him into the house. According to Russell, he recognized one man as Tyrone “Zero” Reynolds, who is currently on trial for Kidnapping, Conspiracy to Distribute Marijuana and Use of a Gun in a Crime of Violence. Russell further testified that he handed over fifteen thousand dollars, but the attackers tied him up and started beating him. Assistant US Attorney David Nozick, said that there is evidence that Russell was taken to Illinois to secure more drugs, but he managed to escape. Seven others have been charged in connection with the incident. They pleaded guilty and are expected to testify.
And what are we supposed to get out of this story? We are talking about a man who left Belize more than 40 years ago, played with the devil & lived to tell the tale, he should be grateful to have survived this long in that business. They give hardworking Belizeans a bad name.
even 1967 he will still be deported to belize when it is finished. that is the moral to the tale
Why is this in the news? Screw him and his weed horse he rode in.
who care about this guy. he does not represent the other Belizean who is living in the US and who is trying to make a honest living for themselves. his story should even be on the news. what another disgrace to Belize. When ever he gets deported he will come home and do the same thing.
lol, unfortunately we have to wait for another trash to come back into our country. Dean Barrow need to get a Life Insurance Policy for all the Scumbags and donate them to Libya. Maybe GOB can balance the Budget from their Insurance benefits to take care of the other idiots that are being housed at Kolbe Foundation, or even donate those that are home as well, instead of taking care of them with our Tax dollars. Just an idea and my opinion.
boring. *sleep*
Moving to Gary, Indiana to avoid crime is like moving from the North Pole to Belize to avoid the heat!
This just goes to show how worse our little Belize will become. All these wanna-be gangstas are comiing back home influencing our youths with this get-rich-quick scheme of gangsta life. I only pray that these men and women in these lifestyle find the Lord. Only with Him will great things be accomplished
