Down Marcel Cardona on CTV says he’s not resigned from U.D.P.
Area Representative for Orange Walk East, Marcel Cardona’s vehicle was towed away from his law practice in Orange Walk on Tuesday afternoon. The police arrived and without any fuss, took the vehicle away as Cardona stood by. It’s the latest embarrassment for Cardona, who the government has now relegated to the opposition side of the House of Representatives. Cardona has been designated an entire bench, but his name plate is closer to the door and is labeled “Unaffiliated.” The dejected representative, now in a political Siberia, appeared this morning on a television show, Dispierta Belice, carried live by Centaur TV, which is aligned to the opposition People’s United Party. In typical Cardona fashion, he spoke at length about his woes with the U.D.P., from which he maintains he has not resigned. Here’s what Cardona said.

“Obviously, it is a continuation of the victimization, the oppression, the repression, the punishment of the people of Orange Walk. It’s a further act in that direction. It means that this victimization is not in any way reducing; it’s intensifying as we go along. It is intensifying every single day. It’s not only about the disrespect, but it is the actual deliberate, open victimization of not only the area representative but the people of Orange Walk East.”
Cardona also repeated that the Deputy Prime Minister had deliberately deprived him of access to funds for his Orange Walk East Constituency.
Loco is at it again. Somehow i wish he would join the PUP so that they can sample the bile that this man carries in his heart for any one who does not share his opinion on anything. Basta, Cardona! Callate ya, niño perdido!!
Javier, are you an illegitimate child of the PM? Why such loyalty/? cardona is a hero to be able to voice his opinion on the UDP. Not because you are a member of any organisatyion means that you are to be a puppy. Anyway this way the public can se exactly how he is victimised as it is publicly being displayed,the peopel put him there and he is a repretation of the people and should get the same priviledges as the other representatives. As for you Channel 5, I do not consider these actions any embarrasment to cardona. They are actually embarrasmnet to the Pm and his government. The actions are childish and spells victimization.

No tire Rod, you got it backwards. The worse government is already in history being the past PUP administration. No one can top that even if they tried. And the roots of that administration are still alive and trying to govern AGAIN!!!! imagine. When the PUP does a clean sweep then it will gain back the trust of the people. The UDP does not like Mr. Cardona because he speaks the truth and he has the courage that most of us Belizeans are afraid of expressing our opinions especially about these matters. Victimization is high and everyone whom does not share the same opinion that the Government shares will be victimized. Shouldnt Belize be a DEMOCRATIC country. I admire Cardona just like I admired Jorge Espat when he was a minister a did the same thing.. speak against corruption. We need more area reps like Cardona who stand against corruption and victimization even if it is within your own party. Someone has to STAND UP against the very things that Barrow said he would stand against, but in Barrow’s own words ‘when we campaign we promise a lot of things and we speak in poetry” which means lots of ‘glitters and no substance”
We need more people like Cardona who are prepared to suffer from his own party but stand and tell them THE TRUTH IN THEIR FACE. Guess who “doesn’t have the balls” like Mayor Moya said. Who does Javier Solis want to convince that this UDP is doing anything better than past administrations? Ask anyone Solis, they will tell you that this current government is by far the worst ever seen even worst than the past administration. Atleast the past administration built by-pass, cogen, complex, it-vet, and many other infrastructures while they did some errors in their governing in certain sectors.
