Police suspect foul play in death of O.W. woman
Police suspect foul play in the death of a woman from August Pine Ridge in the Orange Walk District and are now looking for her husband. This is after a post mortem on her body revealed she died of an injury to the head caused by a blunt object. Twenty-five year old Erwin Blanco told police that he and his wife, twenty-three year old Yezirah, were drinking at home together around five-thirty on Saturday evening. Erwin said Yezirah became drunk and went to take a bath, but she fell down inside the bathroom and somehow bruised her chin, right shoulder and both knees. He said he took her to bed and she appeared to have fallen asleep, but when he checked on her around four the following morning she was dead. Police had detained Blanco earlier for questioning but released him without charges after forty-eight hours. They are once again looking for him to see if his story can still hold up to questioning.
