Attorney General silent on seizures of multimillion dollar companies

“We have in Belize an attorney general. The attorney general is the head of the judiciary. It is his job to advise the government what this decision means. That is the job of the attorney general of Belize. It appears to me that the attorney general is giving the deepest consideration to this decision because from the judgment has been issued, he has been completely silent. So it must mean that he is studying the issue and he can’t yet—the gestation period for his thought is very, very long. It’s getting to be like a legal elephant. We must hear from the attorney general, that is what he is being paid for. We don’t ask him to do us a favor we pay him good money to give us good legal advice.”
