P.M. Meets with Telemedia staff while BCCI prepares for legal meeting
Immediately after the interview, the Prime Minister met with the staff of Belize Telemedia along with members of the Board at the Princess Hotel. The meeting lasted for close to two hours and from what we gather, the PM sold his case to the staff on the re-acquisition of one of the largest companies in the jewel. He promised job security and agreed to a number of demands made by the Belize Communication Workers Union, including a one percent raise. We can also report that the Chamber of Commerce has called a special meeting this Friday morning to discuss the Acquisition of Private Property for Public Purposes and the adherence to Rule of Law and Due Process.
That is the reason why Belize is so mess up. With a few exception, individually we have a price. For the union it is one percent; for the workers, job security.
do not i repeat do not listen to anything this pm says nothing but lies and incompetence coming out of this mans mouth.
The Communication Workers Union gets one percent raise….our Belizeans are selling out to the Crime (nothing Prime about him) Minister for small change.
Curious to know how much his son Anwar and other relatives will get too….even if its one percent…their salaries must be way up.
I guess, the Crime Minister going the banana, citrus and sugar industries next.
Don’t listen to all you hear. The workers were used yesterday for this same purpose so that the media publish that the workers are supporting the government.
Where is the bar association on this entire matter. Can’t the president of the bar make a statement on the judgement pass on Friday saying who is right and who is wrong?
Belizean’s open you eyes you will be the ones eventually paying all these litigation fees.
Concerned: You mean to tell me you don’t see the bigger picture, other than who will pay the bill? No wonder you frigging people back there are only talking about who will pay the bill. I can tell from the quality of the articles on this forum, the the vast majority of respondents are marginally literate. The more educated folks seem to don’t give a darn, or they are scare to lose what litte they have.
In common law it says something like this: quote: Treason is the betryal and breach of state that is considered a grave crime.end quote. Mr Dean Oliver Borrow swore to defend and up hold the constitution of the country that the majority of the voters put into the hand of his Party to administrate. The taking of an oat is serious and fundamental as it binds one to the duty to which take responsibility to fullfil. It speaks volume of one’s varasity. The highest court in the land say to the higest officer of the land that what he did was,and is unconstitutional, the very constitution that he swore to defend and protect. And instead of render himself humbly before the court, he continue to give his middle finger in a vertical position, to the court. And then called in law enforcement, and military forces to back him up. Remember that the heads of these two institution are also bound by the constitution of the country.
Now, do you see the gravity of what this man is engage in? How I pray to God, that this action of there’s can be retroactive when they are no longer in office.Oh! how I would like to see them in handcuffs in the same court, that would make my day.
