Economist publishes on the Telemedia debacle
The ongoing Telemedia fiasco has picked up traction within the international press. The prestigious Economist publishes an article called “Back to the Drawing Board” on its website detailing the legal drama that has unfolded in the wake of a judgment by the Court of Appeal last Friday. The Economist chronicles the background of Telemedia; up to the latest debacle in which the company has two executive boards which includes the Dean Boyce led senior management as well as that of Nestor Vasquez who took over chairmanship of the company in August 2009. The article says the control of Telemedia remains up in the air and records the events of last Friday when within an hour of the ruling, Vasquez left the office and Boyce arrived and held a board meeting. Once it ended, however, Boyce left and Vasquez returned and later in the night, when Boyce went back to the building, a police guard stopped him from gaining entry.
