Burglars rob 88 Shopping Center and Suneel’s Store
Two Belize City businesses are out thousands of dollars after being hit by thieves. Fifty-four year old Neenu Chugani reported that her business, Suneel’s Store at the corner of Orange and West Streets was broken into. The burglary occurred while the store was closed between Tuesday and Wednesday. A total of fifteen thousand, one hundred and ninety-one dollars in clothing and electronic items were stolen.
In the second burglary the thieves got an even bigger loot when they targeted Eighty-Eight Shopping Center, which sits on the corner of Central American Boulevard and Neal’s Penn Road. According to businessman, twenty-five year old Zhike Wu, the culprits made off with over twenty-seven thousand dollars in cash and electronic items.
