Electrician is big winner in Benny’s raffle

There was plenty of cash and prizes floating around this year as businesses all over Belize held promotions in an effort to lure customers to their doors and reward them for their patronage. This afternoon it was the Benny’s Group doing the honours as they selected the grand prize winner of ten thousand dollars in their annual Cash Giveaway. The lucky ticket belonged to Steven Canto of Dolphin Street in Belize City, who upon hearing the good news, arrived in record time at the downtown store to collect his cheque. According to the electrician, he plans to buy a vehicle with the prize money. In addition to the ten thousand dollars, Benny’s also distributed over twenty thousand dollars in “scratch and win” prizes.
