Summer comes alive with a concert for the kids

Every Tuesday night Channel Five showcases local talent from all over the country in the ongoing KTV Duets. Well, this morning Open Your Eyes brought you the younger generation of performers in Summer Fest 2011. From singers and dancers, to a band and even a young chef; this kids’ concert had it all. There were also plenty giveaways for the audience including school supplies and big prizes like cell phones, an e-reader as well as an electric guitar. The summer fest started as early as six-thirty a.m.; still our Coney Drive compound was overflowing with spectators. They were all impressed with the young performers and you will be too when you see the highlights of this morning’s concert.

Young, Kenrick Menzies, who performed spectacularly on stage the song Grenade by Bruno Mars, was voted as the best performer of Summer Fest 2011.
