Accused wife-killer charged with murder
Police say he is the jealous lover who Thursday afternoon pulled up next to Raquel Requena’s taxi and fired a shotgun point blank to her head. Today thirty-six year old security guard Glenford “Bucket” Bermudez, a resident of Vernon Street, was formally charged for the murder, as well as the theft of the sixteen gauge weapon. He was remanded to Hattieville Prison until his next court date on December twenty-first. Reports are that Requena had recently ended her often stormy relationship with Bermudez and found a new boyfriend. After allegedly committing the murder Bermudez tried unsuccessfully to hang himself. Today the victim’s daughter, Floreth Requena, appealed to the passenger who was riding in her mom’s taxi at the time of the murder to please come forward and identify herself.
