Attorney General wakes from deep sleep to chastise Bar Association

The Bar Association on Thursday issued a press release in which it maintained its firm opposition to the Ninth Amendment even after the government had agreed to certain concessions with the Churches. This afternoon the Attorney General, who has not been heard from any at all, issued his own press release styling himself as the “titular head of the bar”. Bernard Q Pitts took the Bar to task for issuing a press release without first calling a membership meeting and demanded that the Bar withdraw the release. While we couldn’t reach the president of the Bar, senior members reacted to the AG’s release saying there was no need to call another membership meeting. They explained that the first membership meeting on the ninth mandated the Bar Executive to demand that the proposed amendment to section two and section nine be withdrawn in entirety. Since the trimmings made by the government did not meet the Bar’s demand, there was no need to go back to the membership for something it had already taken a position on. The Executive, therefore, in its second press release reiterated the substance of its first press release. Another senior member took issue with the AG for calling himself the titular head of the Bar when he has not had a single meeting with the Bar since his appointment nor has had any engagement with the Bar whatsoever.

I hear Lois and Denys are busy thinking how they can change the constitution of the Bar Association so that they can run things, because titty head can’t even influence the independent thinking Bar members.

Barrow himself refers to BQ as an” ambulance chasing lawyer”
