Body Image Store on Albert Street burglarized

A number of robberies have been reported in the past twenty-four hours. On Thursday night between eight fifteen and nine forty-five, Body Image store on Albert Street was burglarized. Owner, Anil Harjani, says this is the first time in his ten years on Albert Street that his business has been burglarized. He lost cash and merchandise.

“Well I just close my shop at around seven o’clock last evening and when I came this morning I saw one of the glasses broken from my show window. When I went in I checked all of my stuff and everything. I saw that they thief my cash register. They gone with some clothing like some men’s shorts and t-shirts.”

“So how much cash did they take?”

Anil Harjani

“Well I had only like a hundred change in the cash register and the clothing is worth like six to seven hundred dollars. Well ahh…more expense and less business so it’s a total loss for me. I have to fix the glass yuh know. The glass will cost more than a thousand dollars something and I have to buy a new cash register.”

“Anil do you know how they gained access to your building because I see you have shutters in front?”

Anil Harjani

“Yeah, you see these two shutters they come down when shops are closed. But you see those two shutters they close late at nine o’clock. So I think they got access towards from the other shutters there.”

While it is understood that two men broke into the store, their identities remain unknown because video from a nearby camera was too dark to identify them.
