It was the 10th Day of September, Battle of St. George’s Caye
The traditional September tenth parade took place on Saturday, immediately following the official ceremonies at the Memorial Park. Couple things to note: there were very few floats, down to four this year; maybe due to the economy or just dwindling interest. It was shorter than usual as it made its way through the main thoroughfares. The PM and a couple of ministers joined the revelry and generally those that participated seemed to have been having a good time. Here’s are highlights of the parade.
{Highlight of parade…}

When I was growing up, the 10th parade used to be so much fun. How sad the government doesn’t even try to instill Belizean pride and patriotism. Something like this should be a big event. No wonder Guatemala thinks Belize is for them.
Are you stupid??? Belizeans are full of pride but the !***!@#$ gang violence ruins everything for everyone. Let’s see if you would go if a grenade might be thrown. These gangs are hard to control… try coming here to do a better job.
YEA agree with that,GOB should do more for the 10th of september,in orange walk there was no parade…..the UDP endorsed danny grijalva for orange central and the town council candidates- in the 10th,so the UDP is only intrested in party politics than showing respect for a national day like the 10th of September.
