Suspect murdered before his court date

Floyd Ifield Davis

While Justin Teck is holding on to life, two other persons were murdered over the weekend. Forty-six year old Floyd Ifield Davis was expected to appear in court on charges of Preparing to Commit Murder and firearm offences for an incident in August 2010 when he and three other men were busted in his Crown Victoria taxi carrying weapons, ammunition, masks and combat uniforms. It was reported that the group was heading to commit a high profile murder in the Ladyville area. But Davis did not appear in court today, instead he has been added to the long list of murder victims for 2011. He was ambushed just after midnight as he arrived at his house in the Western Paradise Community on the Western Highway. The family believes that the gunmen were waiting for him. Davis was shot on the chest, behind the head, left ear and to the left side of the forehead. It is believed that he was murdered because he would have testified against the other three accused persons in the case, but police have not been able to confirm that allegation. Sergeant Fitzroy Yearwood told the media today that they are investigating that angle.

Sgt. Fitzroy Yearwood, Police Press Officer

“We received information that upon his arrival home around eleven-twenty on Sunday night, he existed his vehicle and was immediately ambushed. Investigators believe that it was more than one gunman. He received gunshots to the head, mostly the upper body. He died on the spot. We are looking for three persons in connection with this incident. Hopefully we will be able to make an arrest.”

“Some indications are that he was the cab driver in an incident which occurred…”

“August of 2010.”

“Yes, and the court case was upcoming. Can you speak to us on that?”

Sgt. Fitzroy Yearwood

“What I can tell you is that he was jointly charged with two other persons. He was found in the vehicle with firearms; they were charged for that and they were supposed to go in front of the court. It is a mere allegation that that matter would have started today. I haven’t checked with the Magistrate Court to see if that is a fact. But we know for a fact that he was charged jointly and was in front of the court on joint charges.”

Davis was charged along with Tevin Abraham, Jamal Tablada and Jareth Usher for the Ladyville incident. Tablada and Usher appeared briefly in court today on the charges of Preparing to Commit Murder and firearm offences. That case was adjourned and on exiting the court, they were handcuffed and taken into custody pending investigations of Davis’ murder.

It beggars belief why they were allowed out on bail in the first place! Mind you, with a bit of luck, the other two will face the same fate to cover up for the person who sent them in the first place.

I’m very saddened by the murder of my old friend Floyd Davis. It is so unfortunate for his twist of fate. This gentleman was a Police officer for several years, I remember him very well, it has been years we haven’t met. Whatever the circumstances regarding his demise, I will always remember him as a Policeman. It breaks my heart when I read the news from home, then read about the senseless murders that have become a regular occurrence. Where did it all begin? When will it end. RIP Floyd Davis

Floyd was a good friend to this Gringa and looked out 4 me. We were friends, and he was very protective. I am so saddened, but not surprised, to hear of his murder. This BS is why I left the tarnished Jewel 4 good a few months ago. Life is cheap in Belize. What a crying shame.

So this is what has become of my old friend Floyd. We were once good friends here in America. I spent 2 years with him at FCI Greenville in IL. And after my release we kept in touch until his release/deportation to Belize. We talked regularly on the phone once he touched down in Belize. We had ideas for business ventures in Belize, and I fronted him $3000 US dollars to try and develope those plans. They never worked out and I told him to keep the money until he got on his feet. He told me he would repay me some day with interest, but I never really worried about it much. I would like to offer my prayers to his Kids and Family some of them I had spoken with once apon a time. If any of his Kids/Family ever want to know more about their Father and his life that I know of feel free to email AmericanX090@aol.com. I don’t check this email very often but I will get back to you at some point. I wish things would have played out different for him, he was a decent man in a crazy world. Much love
