50 year old Edward Buller convicted of Manslaughter
Fifty year old Edward Buller, convicted of the 2008 manslaughter of Honduran national Ella May Bennett, was today sentenced to sixteen years in prison by Supreme Court Justice Adolph Lucas. The decision followed a little over four hours of deliberation by a jury of twelve and was handed down upon the conclusion of a mitigation plea in which Buller sympathized with Bennett’s family after apologizing for his actions. On June twentieth, 2008 Bennett’s nude body was discovered at an abandoned house on Central American Boulevard following a physical altercation with Buller over a cigarette. The altercation ended with Bennett being violently shoved to the ground. The forty-one year old woman suffered massive brain damage and later died as a result of the injury. During trial, Buller was represented by attorney Phillip Palacio.
