Corozal carpenter killed with blunt object
Tonight police are investigating the murder of a Corozal carpenter. According to authorities, this morning the body of fifty-five year old Ernesto Riverol was discovered in the living room of his Third Street home with serious injuries to the back of his head. Investigators believe the victim was killed sometime between late Thursday evening and early Friday morning. Our sources suggest that at least one person was seen entering Riverol’s home yesterday and when he wasn’t seen today, a concerned neighbour decided to check on him. But when the door was pushed open, a pool of blood on the floor signalled big trouble. Family members today appealed to the public and the police to find their loved one’s killer.

“You guys have no idea who may have done this?”
Carmen Tun
“No ma’am, we don’t have any idea. He gets along quite well with us. He used to work in carpentry; that was about it.”
According to Dr. Estradabran, a post mortem examination has revealed that Riverol died due to a brain haemorrhage as a result of being hit repeatedly in the head with a blunt object.
