Passengers rob bus driver of $300
Tonight, police are still looking for the two men who brazenly held up a passenger bus and made off with several hundred dollars. Twenty year old Keran Rocke, a conductor for National Transport Service, told authorities that, the bus, on its way from Benque Viejo to Belize City, on Monday evening stopped by the Mile Eight Community along the Western Highway to pick up two dark complexioned men. Rocke says the passengers boarded and the bus continued on its way but as it reached the junction of Faber’s Road the men indicated that they would like to get off. According to Rocke, as the bus came to a stop one of them took out what appeared to be a firearm, pointed it at the driver and quickly snatched a black purse containing three hundred dollars in cash along with a small package belonging to Scotiabank. The men then made good their escape.
