Authorities are still trying to figure out how twenty-eight year old Rennick Reneau met his death over the weekend. His body was discovered in Vista del Mar around seven-thirty this morning in the drain off the main entrance to the subdivision. Officer Commanding the Ladyville Police Station, Inspector Calbert Flowers, says while Reneau’s body did not show any external signs of violence, police found the remains covered.
Inspector Calbert Flowers, Officer Commander, Ladyville
“He is dressed in a three quarter red pants. He had on a black T-shirt, over the black T-shirt he had on a long sleeve button down pink shirt and he was apparently covered with a canvas type material.”

“So by this do suspect that foul play was involved, the fact that he was covered?”
Insp. Calbert Flowers
“We cannot say for certain if foul play was involved, but the investigation is just beginning and we will definitely reveal what has happened.”
Marion Ali
“So you have no leads at this point or motive?”
Insp. Calbert Flowers
“No leads, no motive whatsoever.”
Also clueless regarding the mysterious death is Reneau’s sister, Odessa Bailey, who last saw her brother alive on Friday and believes someone killed him.
Odessa Bailey, Sister of Deceased
“Friday I deh up dah my mommy house di braid my hair and he just come hail everybody and after that I see he just jump pan ih bike and he gone and that dah the last time I see ah.”
Marion Ali
“Did he say where he was going for the weekend?”
Odessa Bailey
“No because weh happen, he live upstairs ah Deandra’s, he noh live yah no more with we, but he deh yah everyday with we. Sunday morning when his gyal friend come and tell we Rennick missing, I still noh really mi di pay it no mind until when she call me this evening at about three o’clock and tell me that Rennick still noh come home yet and dah soh I start to worry and I call wah friend and he mek I call wah corporal dah Ladyville and when I reach deh they done mi di bury ah.”
“I dah nevah get pan the media and say that he dah noh wah trouble person or nothing because maybe in yah he act good to we and out deh he dah something else. But I noh know Rennick have no enemy, all I know Rennick into dah ih basketball and ih football. Rennick love sports, nothing else. I noh know why they do it to ah, I noh know.”
However, Forensic Expert Doctor Mario Estradabran says the autopsy on Reneau’s decomposing corpse was inconclusive.
Dr. Mario Estradabran, Forensic Expert
“We are not ruling out foul play. What I’m saying is that the investigation so far reveals that there is no signs of physical violence, external nor internally, but that does not mean that he was killed or he was murdered”
Marion Ali
“What time do you place the time of death?”
Dr. Mario Estradabran
“Okay, according to the signs of decomposition because of the decomposition, because of the putrefaction, normally is the main obstacle in the medico-legal investigations of death. He died between Friday night up to Saturday, early morning.”
Rennick Reneau was an employee of Positive Vibes Radio and was an avid basketball fan. Reporting for News Five, I am Marion Ali.
