D.P.P. waiting for Police’s rape statement

Several cases of the sexual abuse of minors have been reported in the news recently. In Sarteneja, a U.S. national has been accused of sodomizing three brothers. And in Belize City a wife has accused her husband of attempting to rape their seven-year-old daughter. In both cases, the accused men have been remanded. But before those cases, the mother of a four year old girl came forward on September twenty-seventh with a shocking report that her daughter was taken from a pre-school and raped by someone she knows. The child told the mother and the police who injured her, but to date, no charge has been levied against the accused. At the time, the police press officer said that the individual was released on the instructions of the Director of Public Prosecutions and DNA samples would be taken from several suspects because the statement given by the four year old is conflicting. But as it turns out, it is the report given by the police that is actually conflicting with the office of the D.P.P.  The D.P.P., Cheryl-Lynn Vidal, says that she knew of the incident when it was reported in the media and had no influence in the release of the suspect nor was the D.P.P. aware that there was a rape investigation. In fact, police have still not provided a statement from the victim almost a month after the incident. The D.P.P.’s office says it only received an inaudible audio recording of the four year old. A second copy of the recording was to be sent to the D.P.P.’s office but the police department has not provided that copy and neither have any reasons been given for the delay. According to the D.P.P.’s office, some of the allegations made by the department to the media are not only conflicting but baseless. The D.P.P. says she intends to meet with the alleged victim and the mother but that can only happen after the viewing of the initial recording. It is uncertain why this particular case is causing so much delay or is it that there is more than meets the eye in respect of the perpetrator.

Do like the Mexicans. Lock them up for about 7 years and then have the court case (say it took so long due to backlog in court) That way is these slime get away with a good lawyer at least they will have felt what the victim did for several years.

  2. CEO says:

The statement of any for year old, especially one that was just violated will be conflicting! It’s for the dam cops to make sence of what the baby was saying and arrest the ………….!

Children do not even know the words to explain this sort of thing so how the heck can they keep their story straight: stupd police!

Now here is someone that someone else from the community should sneek up on and inflict some real pain! No normal man can find a child of this age sexually apealing!

  3. Earl Grey says:

do you all realize that for an adult to give a statement to police it take quite a while for them to get it in their skulls much less to understand a baby’s version. try figure!

  5. Elgin Martinez says:

Why is the DPP treating this kid like an adult? This kid should have only been question once, furthermore if you idiots keep questioning her every week common sense would tell you idiots that there is a possibility of her statement changing. This kid shouldn’t even haveto be reliving this heinous crime. What do you all expect from a four year old bunch of fools.

  6. WTF says:

a child raped and no one charged yet!!! what a shame. wheres NCFC, UNICEF< NOPCA awfully silent now. now is the time to speak not when you are making consultancy moneys at workshops.. how about the rights of this individual child..CEO and Minister of the Ministry of Human Development. how about a statement now, we don't want to hear what is done in GENEVA when you come back from your conference, deal with this case NOW!!!!!!!

  7. Islandboy70 says:

There must be someone who knows the accused name. It would certainly help if we knew who this sick person is. Let us say it were you that were being accused of this heinous act, wouldn’t you try to defend your innocents by going to the media or making a public statement at least so everyone hears the other side of the story? He is hiding so he is guilty in my opinion. If someone were accusing me of such an act, I would have been at channel five, love fm and all other media houses to clear my name of this. He is guilty!!! plain and simple.

  8. Storm says:

CASTRATE ALL RAPISTS. That will end repeat offences.
