Belizean American guilty of murdering wife

Belizean, Ian Alamilla, who is living in Westmont, Chicago turned himself in six days after he strangled his estranged wife, Tara, in April 2010. Over a year later, Alamilla pleaded guilty on Thursday to the charge of Murder. In exchange for his guilty plea, Alamilla will be sentenced to no more than fifty years in prison. The back story is that on April tenth, 2010 Alamilla was at Tara’s house for movie night with their children, one of whom was celebrating her fifth birthday. After a movie, the kids went to bed while Ian and Tara stayed up watching a talk show, which was featuring an animal from the Brookfield Zoo where she worked as a school program coordinator. But the two got into an argument and Ian choked Tara to death.

He later went to the Chicago Police Station and told the officers he had a domestic dispute with his wife. Tara’s body was later discovered in her basement while the children, ages five, six and eleven, were still sleeping. The prosecutor told the court that Ian had called his brother in Belize several times and admitted that he strangled his and wanted to kill himself. Sentencing is set for December twenty-second in DuPage County. Before moving to the states, Ian was a scuba diving instructor at a resort in Belize and that’s where he met Tara.
This fool thought he was committing murder in Belize where it is not punished and if even charged your mother and your sisters come out on TV saying how much of a church going innocent man you are, aiding and abetting your criminal @$$…. Fool didn’t realize it was the good ol US of A… GOOD RIDDANCE SCUMBAG
Very sad, my heart goes out the children who has to live without their mother. Many female tourists come to Belize every year and despite all their formal education, they make the poorest choices in meddling with these local men, women here barely want them but these females pick them up and take them with them???? I have to wonder what education really does for some. In any event, sad case and my only hope is that this will send off alarm bells for others who come, even our own local women, I’m sure it’ s not the first time he had abused her.
So SORRY FOR THE CHILDREN…THEY LOST A MOTHER and FATHER………

sameprinicple should be used in belize found guilty death penalty, foreingners have no say in their constitution
This government better check these investors who are opening these factories, check these poisions, they are using in our country. They will kill our children and anybody else living in those areas these investors are bringing in chemicals that are ban in other countries.
