Suspect charged for September murder
One month after the murder, police have accused a Belize City electrician of killing twenty-eight year old Tyrone Diego Castillo. According to court reports, this afternoon twenty-five year old Trenton Smith was formally charged for the crime. Chief Magistrate Margaret McKenzie has ordered Smith remanded to Hattieville Prison until his next court date on the eleventh of October. Castillo was attending a wake for another murder victim, George “Junie Balls” McKenzie on Mayflower Street on August thirtieth when he was shot four times by a lone gunman.
