Weed by the pound; heavy marijuana bust

The song says ‘Marijuana pan di Corner’ but it certainly doesn’t make anyone smarter as the chorus indicates. The police have busted two men with seventeen thousand five hundred and five grams of cannabis. At eleven-thirty this morning, members of the VICAP Section of the Crimes Investigations Branch conducted a search at a house on Johnson Street in Belize City.  Inside the residence of thirty-three year old Garfield Flowers, they found eighteen parcels of Cannabis.  Also inside the home at the time of the bust was forty-three year old Phillip Emanuel Nicholas of Baracat Street. Both men have since been arrested and charged with drug trafficking of over thirty five pounds of weed.

It wasn’t the only bust that the cops made that day. An hour prior to that raid, members of the VICAP Section of the Crimes Investigations Branch conducted a search at an abandoned lot in the Conch Shell Bay area of Belize City. The cops found eight pounds of cannabis in the lot. No one was in the area at the time.
