A Stann Creek man has been given jail time for possession of an illegal weapon and ammunition. Twenty-five year old Sergio Wagner and twenty-six year old Arlon Castly were caught after running away from police in Pomona Village. A search of a bag they dropped revealed a sawed off shotgun and a single sixteen gauge cartridge. Today in Magistrates’ Court in Dangriga Wagner pleaded guilty to Keeping a Prohibited Firearm and Keeping Unlicensed Ammunition while charges against Castly were dropped. Wagner received a sentence of three years in prison for the too short shotgun plus another year for the ammo.
