International Anti-Corruption Day’s Poster Competition
International Anti-Corruption Day is celebrated world-wide on December ninth and this year the Vision Inspired by the People (VIP) is holding a poster competition to observe the day. Paco Smith, V.I.P’s mayoral candidate says the awareness building initiative is to sensitize people on the importance to act against corruption and to encourage transparency and values that are at the core of the VIP.
Paco Smith, Mayoral Candidate, VIP
“VIP staying true to its core principles champions the cause to fight against corruption. Each year the United Nations sponsors something called international anti-corruption day and it’s the ninth of December this year. Of course VIP is with them on this in addition with the transparency international. Basically what we’ve done with regards to the local scene, we have come up with a poster contest. We are asking individuals to submit posters by the ninth of December which depicts the theme; ACT Against Corruption Today. And we have various categories from the youngest being seven – eighth years old to those of us who are forty and above.”
