Expo 2007 opens to Belizean shoppers

This weekend Belizeans across the country will invade the old capital to tour the displays at Expo 2007. According to organisers, the two day event will feature the products and services of more than a hundred and twenty local businesses as well as plenty of food, drinks and live entertainment.

“It will be something to come out and look forward to seeing because these booths will, they will be so innovative in their decorating. It’s going to be a very interesting show.”

“And there will be specials I take it?”

“Oh yes, everybody out here will be having some sort of special deals so I mean it’s going to be a weekend worth coming out. It’s the only tradeshow and one of the biggest trade shows organized by the Belize Chamber of Commerce and Industry and it’s basically for businesses to come out and showcase their products and services all under one roof.”

Official opening ceremonies for Expo 2007 took place earlier this evening. The event is scheduled to open to the public at nine tomorrow morning and run until Sunday at five.
