Maskall resident says Village Chairman led mob to his family
While the P.U.P. family seems to be sorting out national issues, a village council is having a hard time with its own household matters. A family land dispute has driven a wedge between the Maskall Village Council Chairman, Michael Jones and residents, David and Maria Lambert. According to David, there have been two physical confrontations between them. His eight months pregnant wife was allegedly beaten up by relatives of Jones. David also claims that that he and Maria were attacked by Jones and up to eight family members as he was receiving a load of sand at his property in August. While he has gone to the police and the National Association for Village Councils for help, David says he came to the media because it is not right for a man in Jones’ position to be leading an angry mob to his house. He also feels that because Jones is the village chairman, justice will slow in coming to Maskall. He told News Five today about the last alleged attack at their home.
David Lambert, Allegedly Attacked by Village Chairman & Family
“We were receiving a load of sand and when the truck arrived, the Lands Committee, he was trying to tell them he can’t dump the sand alongside the building. Then his brother arrived a short while later, who is the chairman of the village of Maskall, Michael Jones and he was also telling the truck driver that they can’t leave sand there. So I said well call the police but they said there was no police in the village at that time. Then I said well dump the sand because I’ve been dumping the sand there for fourteen-fifteen years and if I’m committing an infraction they can charge me later. The lands committee started hitting me on one side, his son started hitting me on the other and they were reaching for my throat when my wife jumped in front of me with a knife so they backed off. Then I don’t wanna get beat up over a load of sand so I asked the chairman where he would suggest I leave the sand and he said a little further in and more behind the building. So I said okay I’m in agreement with that. The dump truck dumped the sand there and when I was walking away from where the sand was dumped, the chairman and his family—there was eight of them inside the yard and six more alongside the road from the same Jones family. Then they were shoving me and pushing me and the chairman punched me in the neck and I lost consciousness. When I came to, the chairman was pulling some of his nephews off of me that were still kicking me. My wife, I guess they were beating her up at the same time because there were eight of us in our yard beating us up and poking sticks in through the window and beating us with sticks and another six more outside the yard cheering and throwing stones. Then they went away.”

“Did you and your wife receive any kind of injuries in all this?”
David Lambert
“I had bruises all over my side and the back of my head. I had x-rays but I didn’t have any broken bones. My wife got cut up on her shoulders and her arms defending herself against a utility knife. She also had bruises from being beaten with sticks and kicked and hit. And all her throat was bruised from being strangled.”
Public officials who abuse/disgrace their positions and commit crimes should receive DOUBLE the sentence of regular citizens.
I would have a gun waiting for them when they come back. Who the hell beats a pregnant woman and shame on Mr Jones for instigating such an act. your a disgrace I would resign as chairman if I were you, your no example to younger people in your village. Scumbag thats what you are.
