Medical Dental Association rejects medical tourism
There is a growing trend of foreigners coming to Belize to undergo medical procedures that are more expensive in their country. On Tuesday’s newscast we reported on the move towards putting into place, policies that would institutionalize medical tourism. The Belize Medical and Dental Association (BMDA) called News Five late this evening to say that it does not support medical tourism. The BMDA says it has not been invited to any policy meetings regarding medical tourism nor does it have representation on committees assigned to develop policies regarding medical tourism. We’ll have more on this on Thursday.

Mike Singh says the BMDA is on board, so who is lying?
THEN….they will be SELLING BODY PARTS OF THE POOR who sell their parts for money.
Wanna buy a kidney?????? cheap…..
I am always amazed at the level of ignorance. Medical tourism is ongoing worldwide and to have dental work done cheaper and foreign funds are earned in Belize is not a bad thing. If someone gets a hip replacement, it is not done using someone elses hip. Why is everything always so negative in Belize? This attitutde does not contribute to growth.
