Woman says her ex, a cop, is stalking her
Last week Friday, a bill called the Independent Commission Complaint Bill was withdrawn from the House because it was not ready for presentation. It would have provided persons an opportunity to be heard in respect of complaints against the police. Well, tonight a woman says that a bad breakup with a senior officer has turned into a nightmare. Crystal Allen claims her ex has been continuously harassing her and that her reports and complaints to the department have fallen on deaf ears. The matter ended up in court and Allen was granted a restraining order, but to her dismay, it gave her only two feet of protection, even though the accused cop reportedly admitted to the harassment. Allen says he is constantly stalking her and even follows her to work. Since nothing else has worked, she came to News Five today to make a public complaint.
Crystal Allen, Alleges Harassment by Senior Police Officer
“He’s using the judicial system as a form to get back at me because I guess he’s not happy about the protection order that I took out. He’s using the police department being that he’s a senior officer and of course he has influence. I mean, I thank God that I have help from some of the senior officers but when it comes to me—for example, today I went to make a report and when I have to deal with the regular officers and even up to sergeants I don’t get anywhere. It got nasty because I tried to end the relationship and he went to places that I go and actually reviewed surveillance cameras of me to see who I went with and what I’m doing. He actually stalks me outside of my house and when I went to an event, he actually went to the event before I got there and approached me and started cursing me, trying to humiliate me at the event. He came to my house on several occasions. He has an issued firearm and he used it so many times, take it out—he actually sat down in my sofa one day—I didn’t even let him in my house, but he used a screw driver to open the door, sit in the sofa, put the gun in his mouth and said that he would kill himself right in front ah my daughter. There are so many times I could have called the police but it comes to the point whereby it becomes useless calling police about a senior officer. when it comes to them, they’re going to say yes boss and they only do so much and I don’t think I’m getting anywhere. This man is on sick leave. He got in an accident last year and he’s playing the sick leave being that he claims that he is not well enough to go to work but he can use this time to harass me. He di haul and pull me dah family court because—dis man have seven other kids, dis man noh love my kids like di others mek he want si mines. I have stated in the application that this man want do dah use my baby as a form ah harassment. Now I have to di tek out time out ah my work again because dis man claims he want vary di order because he want si dis child. Dis man mek thousands ah dollars a month and he give me forty dollars a week.”
Allen says she took her complaint to Minister of Police, Doug Singh today, with the hopes of finally putting an end to the harassment.
Can anyone remember back in the 90’s when I police accidentally shot another police? Well it was this same officer who shot another police attempting to kill himself! Why you ask.… take a guess. Well it was because he and his wife who he use to beat was leaving him.
So it’s my conclusion that this man needs to leave women alone and think of another alternative!
