Shooting suspect caught fleeing scene
Quick police work last night has resulted in the arrest of a Belize City man in connection to yet another shooting. According to investigators, around eight on Tuesday night a mobile unit was alerted to reports of shots fired in the Mahogany Street area. Officers say as they neared the scene, they spotted a man riding away in a hurry. When they searched him, the cops found a thirty eight revolver, a black ski mask and stockings in his pockets. The cyclist was immediately detained and has been identified as twenty-eight year old Lucius Myers. Investigations into the shooting have led authorities to believe Myers is the person who rode up to twenty-two year old Mark Flowers and shot him in the buttocks. Myers has since been charged with Attempted Murder, Use of Deadly Means of Harm and Grievous Harm. The case against the accused has been adjourned until the twenty-eighth of September.
