Shooting in Mullins River

Earlier we told you about the rash of violence in the city. Also on New Year’s Eve, at around seven a.m., thirty-eight year old Troy Flowers was riding his bike on the Mullins River Road heading toward the junction when he was ambushed. Flowers reported that a man dressed in a camouflage jacket, long green pants and a cap came out of the nearby bushes and fired several shots at him with a nine millimeter pistol. He was shot to the back of the head, upper and lower back areas. He was transported to K.H.M.H. and up to mid-day remained hospitalized in a stable condition. Officer in Charge in Dangriga, Julio Valdez says so far no motive has been established for this shooting, and from all accounts, it doesn’t point to robbery.
